I have purchased video grabber pro, I used it to download and insert online video into powerpoint for my school project, I have difficulty in doing this, since I can download the video, but it blocks me from inserting into it.

Would someone please give me help? I’d really appreciate your help.

    Hello Blake,

Welcome to video grabber forum, let me give you some help. If I do not guess wrong, the problem mainly sets in your video format. As we all know, a part of online video files are streamed as flv, you maybe download this type of video file. Nevertheless, Powerpoint does not support flv. So when inserting online video into powerpoint, first you’d better verify whether it is the suitable media format for powerpoint, just check out the appropriate ones.

Now that you know where the problem lies, then what to do is to convert the downloaded video into right format. Video grabber pro comes with another function – Converter, right-click on your downloaded video items and hit Add to convert.

Afterwards, select one of the supported media format as output profile like wmv, avi, mpeg, swf, 3gp etc. After tabbing Start, it will automatically process conversion task.

Notice also, if the video contains some adverts or you don’t want to put the full length video into powerpoint, simply choose Video Edit in pro version, just enable the Trim function, set start time and end time to cut your unwanted part. Or else, your downloaded video is accompanied by black edge on both sides, just crop area size you like.

Okay, now you are able to embed online video into powerpoint. Open your powerpoint, click Insert VideoVideo from File. Done.

i am wondering whether i can embed youtube videos in powerpoint on mac?

The mac version of powerpoint only supports a few video formats such as avi, mov, MPG and more. Likewise, if you wanna insert youtube videos into powerpoint on mac, you should convert YouTube video to the accepted formats as you do it on windows operating system. Video grabber pro can be applied for mac. The steps are exactly the same as guide above.
