I have tried to download youtube videos with savevid, keepvid and something similar, but no one works. Even though I changed browser, reinstall java, the result still the same. Is it possible that I made some wrong settings on internet options? Do I need to download a program? I will appreciate your answer.

Hi, Vivian. The reason for failing in downloading videos from youtube is complicated. As you said, it’s possible that you made wrong settings on internet options. So follow my steps to check if the setting is right, open your IE browser, choose Internet Options from Tools, click Connection tab, choose LAN settings and unselect Proxy server.

If there is nothing wrong with the Internet Options, maybe you can try one more online video downloader to check whether it’s the problem of savevid, keepvid or other similar sites. Video Grabber can be a good helper for you to download youtube videos and test the problem.

It’s also an online video grabber, what different from savevid or keepvid is that it has no need to install any plug-ins or add-ons. As to the process to download video from youtube, it’s as same as other online video downloader. Just copy and paste the video URL and grab it.

Once it grabs the video, you will be asked to choose the video quality like 1080P, 720P, 360P etc. After choosing the designated file and renaming video name, the youtube video starts to download.

In addition, Video Grabber supports other video-sharing websites like dailymotion, vimeo, metacafe, blip and much more. It also provides you a fast track through four tabs: Recent Downloads, Today’s hottest, Always popular and Search Video.

However, both Video Grabber and savevid have no way to download RTMP videos, like Hulu and Mpspace. When you come across such problem, Video Gabber Pro comes in handy, as it’s the professional version of Video Grabber. It combines download, convert, edit and record all-in-one.

Ok, the solution is here. I hope it helps you.

It’s really convenient to download youtube videos with this online grabber. But one question is what I should do if I want to convert video format to fit my iPhone. Do I have to install a program?

Don’t worry, your trouble can be easily solved. There is a program combining download and convert together, it’s Video Grabber Pro, the superior version of Video Grabber. It provides much more video-sharing websites than Video Grabber.

With it, you don’t have to copy and paste youtube video URL anymore, just launch the program before you play the video. This program will automatically grab the video URL and add it to the download list. When the downloading is completed, choose the tab Convert to convert video format to fit your iPhone. In addition, it supports RTMP videos like Hulu and ABC, as long as you choose the function Advanced Video Recorder.

Or you can search an online converter to convert your video format, such as Online Converter. It depends on you.

Keepvid 1.0 is the freeware veroisn. The latest veroisn needs a license. Which I would buy if I could get some details on the the aggreement, pricing, privacy, etc., etc.KEEPVID.COM IS THE LAMEST WEB SITE ON THE PLANET.
